The clear credential is issued once all credential requirements have been completed. Individuals receiving the preliminary credential are making a commitment to complete the process and obtain the clear credential. The two-year preliminary credential is the first document issued after an individual meets the specific credential requirements. If your clinical impression is inconsistent with a histopathologic diagnosis rendered at a local hospital, or you require assistance in the evaluation of your specimen, it would be appropriate to request our review of the slides. We understand that interpretation of oral biopsy samples by general pathologists may be challenging and require interpretation of clinical information that is specific to the oral cavity. We are happy to review any problematic histopathology slides. Request a Microscopic Consultation (Second Opinion) Duplicate or original radiographic images of diagnostic quality may be sent with biopsies. Radiographs and/or clinical images often are useful or necessary in rendering a diagnosis (as is the case with many fibro-osseous lesions).
